Welcome all,

Thank you for joining the Write Workshop, our aim is to make this an extremely resourceful platform for budding writers in the Roey community. I wish we didn’t have to charge the £3 membership fee but that is the mandatory minimum for all societies, so we’ll devote your money towards competition prizes and materials required for the exciting stuff the committee and I have planned. We want this society to encompass both the light-heartedness we deserve through activities/competitions and trips, while also approaching each other’s shared work with the utmost respect and gratitude.

The aim is to benefit students on a writing-related course, help with personal works from any member and to create a strong community between us writers. We’re hoping to network with other societies too, and make the Roehampton University a more vibrant community than it already is. The vision is for all of us to have a greater voice and influence, which should ultimately lead to greater recognition of our ability as writers and people. I personally am very excited and will always be trying to accommodate any queries/ideas/feedback you have, and I know the committee will too.

Throughout the year we will be planning regular café trips both locally, and in Central London. We’ll also be looking to make trips around the U.K and are hopeful that we can arrange one abroad that is rich for writing about. We really want this society to be taken to it’s full potential, and we hope you can take full advantage of it.
